John Holland is one of Australia's leading engineering contractors delivering innovative construction projects and diverse service solutions to the world.
The Annual Review is the centrepiece of the company’s external communication with investors, customers, employees and stakeholders. Our task was to wrap up a year’s worth of information into a concise and easy-to-read book that embodied the values of the John Holland brand and engaged its readers.
Our first step was to develop a clear and focussed message to convey the year that was. The theme ‘Heritage to Horizons’ was selected as it was a fitting framework to showcase John Holland’s 60 year legacy of construction in Australia, it’s performance and project highlights over the financial year as well as the potential of the organisation in the years ahead.
The Review was formatted into a magazine like layout, to aid ease of readability and to communicate the breadth of John Holland’s experience visually. Large photographs were used to showcase both past and present projects, including the first John Holland construction of a woodshed in 1949, as well as the people behind the brand. Overall the design reflects the organisations branding and strategy, the corporate colours were used as part of a limited palette.
